Description:

Boulevard is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Lead for their newly established Platforms and Integrations team, focusing on meeting customer needs through integrations strategy.
This role involves defining and executing the integrations strategy, building robust platform foundations, and shaping the external developer platform and broader apps/integrations ecosystem.
The position requires leading a squad of 3-5 engineers while also contributing hands-on as a Staff Software Engineer.
Responsibilities include strategic planning and execution, owning the technical architecture of Boulevard’s API ecosystem, and implementing integrations with third-party services like Shopify.
The role also involves establishing system health metrics, maintaining a secure and efficient codebase, and participating in incident response as an Incident Commander.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience building and maintaining integrations with third-party APIs and scaling external-facing API products.
A strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) is required, with experience in Elixir considered a plus.
Applicants should possess a solid foundation in computer science, enabling sound decisions in design and implementation.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical audiences.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate ownership by leading large initiatives and roadmaps, and possess the autonomy to operate effectively in ambiguous situations.

The total budgeted cash compensation for this role ranges from $190,000 to $220,000 USD, depending on skills and experience.
