Boulevard is a client experience platform for appointment-based self-care businesses, aiming to enhance customer interactions.
The Staff Software Engineer, Lead will set the technical strategy and build a powerful analytics platform for customers to contextualize information and make informed decisions.
The role involves leading a squad of 3-5 engineers while also contributing hands-on as a Staff Software Engineer.
Responsibilities include strategic planning, owning technical architecture, monitoring system health metrics, maintaining codebase quality, and participating in incident response.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in architecting and scaling customer-facing reporting and analytics products.

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in building reliable, scalable, and observable customer-facing reporting and analytics products.
Experience in measuring and ensuring data quality, as well as shipping high-impact and complex initiatives.
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, with experience in Elixir being a plus.
Ability to make sound design and implementation decisions, anticipating scale and operational feasibility.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to collaborate deeply with product, design, and marketing teams to achieve desired outcomes.
Proven ownership of large initiatives and roadmaps, defining smaller deliverables for incremental business value.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, articulating risks and trade-offs while ensuring visibility to stakeholders.
A balance of technical and leadership skills to guide sound decisions and empower team autonomy.
Demonstrated ability to set long-term strategy while delivering incremental value.

Total cash compensation ranges from $190,000 to $220,000 USD, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
