Remote Staff Software Engineer, Localization

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer will work on high-leverage and cross-cutting projects within the Localization Engineering team.
• This role involves collaborating with Principal Engineers, Architects, and Product Managers to enhance team effectiveness.
• The engineer will drive evolutionary change in Procore’s Internationalization and Localization software stack.
• Responsibilities include defining the technical roadmap for the team, identifying areas for improvement, and leading cross-team solutions.
• The position requires participation in designing and building systems that align with business outcomes.
• The engineer will provide technical leadership for a team of 8-10 engineers.
• Writing well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code is a key responsibility.
• The engineer will serve as a leader and mentor to junior engineers and share knowledge through brown bags, tech talks, and promoting engineering best practices.
• This position is remote and based in the Czech Republic, reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience is required.
• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in software development using modern languages such as Typescript, Ruby on Rails, C#, or Python.
• Experience in designing and building software that enhances developer productivity and efficiency is necessary.
• Strong experience in documenting and clarifying ambiguous problems is required.
• Candidates should have experience working remotely and with distributed teams.
• Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
