Description:
The Staff Software Engineer will work on high-leverage and cross-cutting projects within the Localization Engineering team.
This role involves collaborating with Principal Engineers, Architects, and Product Managers to enhance team effectiveness.
The engineer will drive evolutionary change in Procore’s Internationalization and Localization software stack.
Responsibilities include defining the technical roadmap for the team, identifying areas for improvement, and leading cross-team solutions.
The position requires participation in designing and building systems that align with business outcomes.
The engineer will provide technical leadership for a team of 8-10 engineers.
Writing well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code is a key responsibility.
The engineer will serve as a leader and mentor to junior engineers and share knowledge through brown bags, tech talks, and promoting engineering best practices.
This position is remote and based in the Czech Republic, reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in software development using modern languages such as Typescript, Ruby on Rails, C#, or Python.
Experience in designing and building software that enhances developer productivity and efficiency is necessary.
Strong experience in documenting and clarifying ambiguous problems is required.
Candidates should have experience working remotely and with distributed teams.
Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
