Description:
Fetch is building a media strategy that allows partners to engage with its platform through paid media placements, including static image content and video.
The Staff Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping Fetch’s ad infrastructure and will work closely with internal teams to drive the evolution of the platform’s media strategy.
Responsibilities include leading the development of media products, implementing ad tracking and measurement capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, owning the development of Fetch’s custom Ad Server, and refining the media strategy with a focus on monetization and user experience.
The role requires hands-on experience in AdTech and media product development, particularly within mobile consumer applications.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in building and scaling media products, specifically in AdTech for consumer-facing mobile applications.
A deep understanding of ad serving technologies, including experience with Ad Servers, DSPs, and SSPs, is required.
Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) is necessary.
Hands-on experience with audience segmentation, frequency capping, and optimizing ad delivery is essential.
Candidates should be able to apply media and advertising analytics to drive decision-making and understand how Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) ties into media strategy.
Experience in a high-scale production environment, particularly with large mobile user bases, is required.
Nice to have: Experience with video ad products, knowledge of programmatic advertising, and understanding of emerging trends in privacy and data protection.
