Description:
The Merchant Experience team at Cash App aims to create a thriving network of active merchants that is easily accessible to consumers, making Cash App & Afterpay the preferred payment method.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and supporting user-friendly platforms for merchants to grow their business with Cash App.
The role involves evolving the architecture to scale with customer and developer growth, working with monolith codebases and microservices.
Ensuring high-quality infrastructure by maintaining visibility into tracing, metrics, logging, and alerting.
Solving technical challenges at scale and collaborating with product management and design to develop new impactful experiences.
Mentoring, leading, and supporting colleagues for team growth.
Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation for service support.
Requirements:
8+ years of software development experience.
2+ years of experience leading large-scale features, including planning, managing, and executing projects while maintaining high quality.
Ability to design and implement creative solutions for complex problems.
Drive to identify and resolve flaws in complex systems.
Proven track record in helping other engineers grow.
Willingness to learn and apply new methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong communication skills.
Must be based in PST due to collaboration with the team in Australia.
