Remote Staff Software Engineer, ML Data Platform

Description:

• The role requires leading the development of the next generation data processing platform using Beam and Spark, building self-serve capabilities, and owning technical projects from inception to completion.
• The engineer will also conduct technical interviews, onboard, and mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience building a data processing system using Beam/Spark and optimizing data processing clusters for cost efficiency and performance.
• Experience in building high-throughput, low-latency serving systems is required.
• Candidates should have experience with the full ML model lifecycle, including feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in building scalable infrastructure on the cloud using Python or Java/Scala is necessary.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience working with big data is required.
• A BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience is mandatory.
• Candidates should demonstrate a passion for self-driving technology and possess strong problem-solving skills.
• A startup mentality and the ability to manage unknowns and wear multiple hats are essential.
