Remote Staff Software Engineer, ML Developer Velocity

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer, ML Developer Velocity at Stack AV will work on developing tools to enable the development of AI applications for autonomous vehicles efficiently and safely.
• The role involves collaborating with ML Engineers to understand their workflow and improve it, automating manual work through pipelines and metrics, managing experiments using tools like MLFlow, and contributing to open source projects.
• The successful candidate will have a significant impact on the deployment of models on AV hardware and the overall development experience of ML engineers.
• Responsibilities include understanding the needs of ML Engineers, proposing solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, staying updated with ML technologies, and promoting engineering excellence within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in ML Infra / MLE with familiarity in infra / front end is necessary.
• Strong programming skills in Python, service system design skills, and the ability to drive designs across multiple groups are essential.
• Familiarity with ML Engineer user journeys, working on all parts of the stack, and prior experience with offline ML pipelines and experiment management tooling are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are required.
