Interface.ai is seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer to lead the development of an AI-first banking mobile application.
This role involves hands-on leadership in architecting, developing, and deploying a React Native application for both iOS and Android platforms.
The engineer will own and lead the end-to-end development and release of the mobile application.
Responsibilities include designing scalable, high-performance mobile interfaces optimized for banking and ensuring seamless AI-powered experiences.
The role requires collaboration with AI, backend, product, and design teams to implement AI-driven user experiences.
The engineer will guide technical decisions, participate in code reviews, and ensure best practices for maintainable mobile applications.
The position includes ownership of the CI/CD pipeline for mobile app deployment and post-launch monitoring.
The engineer will act as a technical mentor for other engineers, driving frontend excellence and innovation.
Continuous improvement of app performance, scalability, and battery efficiency is expected, along with identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 9+ years of experience in mobile app development, with at least 5 years specifically in React Native.
Proven experience in end-to-end app development and release on both iOS and Android is required.
Expertise in state management libraries and real-time data handling is necessary.
Strong knowledge of secure authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, biometric authentication, JWT, and secure storage is essential.
Experience integrating LLM APIs, AI-powered chatbots, or AI-driven UI optimizations in mobile applications is required.
Understanding of server-driven UI (SDUI), AI-assisted UX, and intelligent financial insights is necessary.
Familiarity with voice-based interactions and AI-powered predictive UI is preferred.
A deep understanding of high-performance, low-latency mobile application architectures is required.
Expertise in mobile security best practices, encryption, and compliance with financial regulations is necessary.
Experience with offline-first architectures and data synchronization techniques is preferred.
Candidates should possess a startup mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for AI-powered banking and fintech.
