The Partner Platform team is seeking a senior backend software engineer to build a new platform from scratch for third-party engagement with Addepar.
The role involves handling large volumes of data and addressing engineering challenges related to distributed systems for automated data ingestion and transformation.
Responsibilities include architecting, implementing, and maintaining engineering solutions, leading project priorities, collaborating with product managers and engineers, mentoring team members, and writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

Requirements:

A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in backend development, specifically with Python or Java, is essential.
Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures is required.
A strong ownership mentality and a drive to solve significant problems are necessary.
Candidates should have a passion for implementing standard processes with a focus on smart automation.
Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers is required.
Experience in data processing and analysis using SQL, PySpark, or similar frameworks is a plus.
Candidates should be rapid learners with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The salary range for this role is between $144,000 and $225,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
