Remote Staff Software Engineer, Payments

Description:

• As a Staff Engineer at Boulevard, you will lead initiatives and architecture in the Payments domain, collaborating with Product and Design teams.
• You will work closely with the Product Manager, Designer, and Product Marketing Manager to develop exceptional payments products for seamless booking experiences.
• Your role will involve building modern commerce experiences that enhance brand identity, maximize conversion rates, and utilize cutting-edge technology.
• Responsibilities include leading and managing multiple initiatives from inception to completion, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation, and maintaining an observable, secure, and efficient codebase.
• You will mentor engineers, participate in an on-call rotation, and partner with stakeholders to achieve company objectives.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of fullstack experience in building large-scale, well-architected systems.
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience, including team management.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Go), with experience in Elixir being a plus.
• Familiarity with payment systems and PCI compliance.
• Proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects, collaborating with others to define incremental value.
• Desire to work in a high-velocity environment, continuously learning, and mastering your craft.
