As a Staff Engineer, you will own the technical architecture of the core platform and set standards for software excellence across multiple product squads.
You will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations leadership to make foundational decisions that unlock new business lines and enhance developer productivity.
The role is ideal for engineers experienced in leading teams through hyper-growth, major platform refactors, and building sustainable composable platforms.
Responsibilities include defining the technical direction for various systems, driving engineering best practices, mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional initiatives, guiding capacity planning, and improving developer experience.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience scaling production systems and have operated at a Staff level or higher for several years.
A proven track record in designing extensible and composable service or plugin architectures that support multiple product lines is required.
Deep experience with TypeScript and Node.js is essential, along with a polyglot mindset for selecting appropriate tools for various tasks.
Mastery of PostgreSQL or equivalent RDBMS, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is necessary.
Experience embedding observability and reliability engineering into workflows is required.
Comfort with running monorepos and designing build pipelines for frequent deployments is expected.
Hands-on experience with integrating LLM or AI services into production systems is a strong plus.
Proven ability to mentor, influence, and communicate effectively in various formats is essential.
