Remote Staff Software Engineer, Platform

Description:

• Dandy is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team.
• The role involves designing and building scalable infrastructure and systems to support the growing product engineering function.
• Responsibilities include solving complex technical problems, collaborating with stakeholders, advocating for product quality, and maintaining infrastructure and tooling.
• The position aims to reinvent analog experiences and disrupt legacy industries through innovative system design.
• The Staff Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with Product Engineers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, preferably in a high-growth startup setting.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Proficiency in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities in a cloud environment.
• Experience in building observability platforms and infrastructure as code platforms.
• Ability to design architecture and automate infrastructure within a cloud environment.
• Strong communication skills for discussing technical issues and proposing solutions.
• Experience with performance optimization and problem diagnosis.
• Comfortable working in an agile, iterative software development process.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working in a remote-first organization.
