Description:

Atlan is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Product in India, focusing on transforming data chaos into clarity and seamless collaboration.
The role involves taking end-to-end ownership of multiple enterprise connectors and designing high-level architecture for these connectors.
Responsibilities include developing source-specific packages for crawling, mining, and migrating metadata from diverse data sources.
The engineer will lead Engineering Excellence for the business unit and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Acting as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), the engineer will unblock customers and partners during onboarding.
The position requires deploying and managing packages on the Atlan Metadata Marketplace to ensure reliability and seamless user experiences.
The engineer will drive innovation in connector development and improve developer productivity for Atlan users.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend development and building large-scale data pipelines.
A proven ability to ensure the scalability and reliability of complex systems is essential.
Proficiency in Python and Kotlin is required.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is necessary.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Argo is preferred.
A track record of mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence is important.
The ability to lead customer interactions as a technical SME is required.
Experience with SaaS products and metadata management is preferred.
