Description:

LTK is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the Product Search and Ranking efforts.
The Product Catalog is essential for LTK’s Creator-Driven Shopping App, containing billions of items and powering various scenarios such as price drops and search functionalities.
The role involves de-duplicating and reconciling products across retailers to enhance the experience for creators and shoppers.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of e-commerce and product catalog systems, with experience in high-growth environments.
Responsibilities include leading the building and scaling of a Product Catalog Service, Exact Product Matching Service, and Product Search Service.
The candidate should have a strong command of Golang, Python, Vector Databases, and embedding technologies.
The role requires expertise in designing and building complex systems and solutions, as well as providing inputs on engineering excellence.
The engineer will identify new technologies to improve team efficiency and maintain technical documentation.
The position demands ownership of complex issues and acting as a technical leader during crises.

Requirements:

Proven leadership skills, including mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
Ability to manage projects from conception to completion, effectively handling timelines and resources.
A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
More than 7 years of experience in distributed systems and software development principles.
A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices within the engineering team.
Nice to have: expertise in data storage technologies, data processing frameworks, stream processing frameworks, cloud platforms, containerization, and data modeling concepts.
