The Product Engineering team is responsible for building products that customers use daily, improving the accuracy and efficiency of workflows to reduce food waste.
The Staff Software Engineer will play a key role in building solutions for customers, with opportunities for ownership and impact.
Responsibilities include directly impacting the mission by enabling grocers to manage and optimize fresh food merchandising and supply chain, owning and building new features in the React Native mobile application, and architecting and scaling the application for a larger user base.
The role involves working on APIs, building tools and foundations for multiple teams, partnering with product and design teams for user experiences, and mentoring engineers of various experience levels.

Requirements:

A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building front-end applications.
A minimum of 3+ years working on production-level React Native mobile applications is necessary.
Proficiency in TypeScript and API development is required, with prior experience in GraphQL preferred.
Candidates should have the ability to debug and resolve issues across front-end and back-end components.
Experience acting as a tech lead on complex cross-functional projects is essential.
Candidates must have experience with architecting and leading the development of highly scaled and reliable mobile applications.
Experience with performance and optimization problems, along with the ability to diagnose and prevent these issues, is required.
Candidates should demonstrate the capacity to communicate complex technical problems and propose solutions clearly.
Proven ability to facilitate cross-team work and knowledge sharing in the web frontend domain is necessary.
Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to mentor and coach others effectively.
