Description:

Tecton helps companies unlock the full potential of their data for AI applications by streamlining the complex process of preparing and delivering data to models.
The Realtime serving team builds high-performance online infrastructure that powers AI inference at over 100K queries per second (QPS) with millisecond latency.
The position is open to candidates based anywhere in the United States, with options to work in hub offices in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, or fully remotely.
Responsibilities include developing and communicating a clear 18-month technical vision, architecting and implementing solutions to scale the serving platform, evolving Tecton’s query execution engine, building an integrated observability solution, launching serving infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, and assessing and prioritizing tasks.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in programming, debugging, and performance tuning distributed and/or highly concurrent software systems.
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required, with strong proficiency in building high throughput infrastructure.
Experience with Database Query Engines is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with at least one of AWS or GCP.
Experience with low latency online storage solutions like DynamoDB, Redis, and BigTable is required.
Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and object storage like S3 is also necessary.

The estimated US base salary range for this position is $216,000 - $258,000 annually for employees based within California and New York.
