Description:
Buoy Software is on a mission to enhance the experience of blood product donors and improve health outcomes for patients.

The Staff Software Engineer will work in a fully remote position, specifically for candidates based in the United States.
Responsibilities include owning and developing product features from scoping to rollout, advocating for product quality, solving complex technical problems, and mentoring other engineers.
The role requires collaboration with the team on larger projects and participation in the on-call rotation.
The first 30 days will involve learning the engineering operations at Buoy, meeting team members, and understanding the product.
By the 60-day mark, the engineer will become familiar with workflows and begin suggesting improvements.
Within 90 days, the engineer will meet with stakeholders and ship multiple successful features.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience building web applications end-to-end using a tech stack similar to Tailwind, React, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and Postgres, with Ruby on Rails being a requirement.
Experience working on all parts of the stack (frontend, backend, etc.) is necessary.
Candidates should view software engineering as a craft and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
A desire to work autonomously while also collaborating with other engineers is essential.
High empathy is required, demonstrating care for teammates and users.
