Jobgether is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to work remotely in the United States.
The role involves leveraging DevOps expertise to design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and web applications aimed at revolutionizing education for emerging engineers.
Responsibilities include designing and developing infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform and Ansible for small to medium-scale deployments.
The engineer will work on web-based applications using frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Sinatra/Padrino, or Django, ensuring high performance and maintainability.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions is essential.
The position requires leading the modernization of production infrastructure to improve scalability and stability.
The engineer will maintain and improve internal codebases, libraries, and systems for long-term support and efficiency.
Participation in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting issues, is expected.
Providing mentorship and technical support to team members is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Proficiency with web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Sinatra/Padrino, or Django is required.
Familiarity with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD processes is necessary.
Experience with PostgreSQL and database design is essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are required.
A passion for education and a desire to positively impact the world through technology is important.
Previous experience with software automation and DevOps tools is needed.
Candidates should be comfortable working in an agile environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $180,000 USD.
It is a 100% remote position, allowing employees to work from anywhere in the U.S.
