Description:

  • Rula's mission is to make mental healthcare work for everyone, including patients, therapists, and healthcare systems.
  • As a member of Rula’s Scheduling team, you will shape the scheduling experience and empower high-quality care through technology.
  • The role involves working in a close-knit team within a fast-growing product environment.
  • As a Staff Engineer, you will contribute to Rula's product development and engage in meaningful technical discussions.
  • Scheduling is a key functionality that facilitates appointments between patients and providers, essential to Rula’s business.
  • Key capabilities include allowing providers to set their availability, managing appointments, and enabling patients to book appointments.
  • The team will manage Electronic Health Record System (EHR) interactions, ensuring Rula is the source of truth for scheduling data and increasing resilience.

Requirements:

  • You must have 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams to bridge technical and non-technical groups is required.
  • You should have backend experience building modern database-backed (SQL/no-SQL) web applications.
  • Experience with microservice development is necessary.
  • You must have experience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns.
  • You should have experience driving all phases of the development lifecycle, including planning, execution, and post-launch maintenance.
  • Experience working on highly complex projects with a focus on sustainable results is required.
