The Staff Software Engineer will join a product engineering team to build features that enhance the Honeycomb experience, including core concepts for data organization, derived columns, SLOs, and Triggers.
The role involves making decisions that guide the technical and product roadmap, leading the delivery of quality software, supporting and mentoring other engineers, and influencing company goals and strategy.
The position is remote-first, allowing for flexibility in work location, and is open to candidates in the United States and Canada.
Requirements:
Candidates must have deep experience in backend application development and some experience in frontend development.
Experience leading teams through experiment-first product delivery cycles is required.
Candidates should have a background in leading teams with software in production, focusing on technical leadership and defining operational guidelines.
A strong sense of teamwork and experience working with cross-functional teams is essential.
Candidates must possess a flexible mindset to prioritize important work while addressing technical debt.
Clear and open communication skills are necessary, including the ability to give and receive feedback.
An interest in observability and experience supporting production software is preferred.
Benefits:
The position offers a base pay range of $220,000 - $235,000 USD or CAD $302,181 - $322,784.
