Remote Staff Software Engineer - Staking

Description:

• BitGo is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Staking team to develop robust and scalable systems for integrating blockchains and enabling secure custody and staking of funds.
• The role involves providing technical leadership, setting long-term technical vision, and contributing to large initiatives across engineering teams.
• Responsibilities include designing and constructing APIs, libraries, and services, developing integration libraries and SDKs, and collaborating with product managers.
• The position requires mentorship of peers, fostering growth through code reviews and best practice education.
• The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of back-end software development experience, proficiency in TypeScript/Node.JS or Kotlin, strong testing and debugging skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in blockchain or security industry, familiarity with microservices and service-oriented architectures, and real-world experience in building scalable distributed systems.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of back-end, server-side software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.JS and / or Kotlin.
• Excellent skills in unit and functional testing, debugging, and providing simple abstractions to complex systems.
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, and CI tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
