The Staff Software Engineer will lead the backend engineering team, focusing on a real-time advertising bidding system that handles over 3,000,000 requests per second and stores several terabytes of data daily.
The Stats & Analytics team manages the end-to-end data lifecycle, ingesting diverse data types and distributing this data across critical downstream services.
The team tackles complex distributed system challenges, focusing on scalability, performance, reliability, and data consistency using a modern tech stack.
The position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in North America.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience working with large datasets and real-time analytics services.
A proven track record of delivering results and leading high-impact teams is required.
At least 5 years of software development experience in distributed systems, architecting scalable microservices, and data pipelines in a high-growth technology company is necessary.
At least 1 year of leadership experience, including mentoring and conducting interviews, is required.
A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms is essential.
Candidates should have up-to-date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks.
Experience with Go and high-performance databases is a plus.
