The autonomous technology incorporates advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and cloud technologies.
The tracking team is responsible for tracking road actors and elements, estimating a temporally consistent belief of the local scene from a history of detections.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will deliver ML solutions to tracking problems in a self-driving system, including learning probabilistic actor motion and sensor models, re-identification strategies, and information fusion rules.
You will work in a team to deliver state-of-the-art closed- and open-world tracking systems for Level 4 self-driving vehicles.
You will contribute to the technical direction of the tracking team and the broader perception organization.
Your responsibilities include writing robust software for real-time, resource-constrained, safety-critical applications and driving cross-functional features from problem statement to delivery.
You will proactively identify limitations with the existing tracking system and drive improvements while aligning stakeholders through strong presentation and communication skills.
You will lead challenging technical topics and build consensus within the team.
Requirements:
You must have extensive experience in architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models into real-world environments.
A track record of driving applied research projects from conception to completion, including problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and publication or productization is required.
You should have experience delivering perception/tracking solutions for real-time robotic applications.
Knowledge and experience in employing advanced probabilistic algorithms to solve problems involving uncertain inputs and imperfect models are necessary.
Strong experience in software engineering and algorithm design is essential.
