Description:
The Staff Software Security Engineer will support US Federal regulated markets and must pass a background screening, including a credit check, criminal check, and drug test.
Employment is contingent upon passing the screening, and only US citizens, US naturalized citizens, or US Permanent Residents will be considered.
The role involves becoming a key member of the Cloud Platform group, building Cloud Infrastructure Services and APIs to manage the full lifecycle of application and database code.
Responsibilities include developing, building, and maintaining a platform for large-scale Enterprise Applications with over 10,000 physical hosts.
The engineer will review and triage vulnerability findings, debug and test vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot difficult production issues such as memory leaks and network problems.
Proficiency in using the Linux command prompt for administration and shell scripting is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in DevOps, specifically in building and maintaining platforms for large-scale Enterprise Applications with over 10,000 physical hosts.
Experience with git for source code management is necessary.
Expert-level skills in Ruby, Chef, or Puppet are required.
A deep understanding of Centos/RHEL OS, including experience in installing, maintaining, and designing services, is essential.
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies such as OpenStack, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
Experience in developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgresSQL is needed.
Candidates should demonstrate an aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and systems.
A proven track record of successfully working independently and as part of a team to complete complex projects on time is required.
Exceptional debugging, testing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
The ability to adapt to changing priorities and deal with interruptions within the team is essential.
