Description:

  • The Staff Software Security Engineer will support US Federal regulated markets and must pass a background screening, including a credit check, criminal check, and drug test.
  • Only US citizens, US naturalized citizens, or US Permanent Residents will be considered for this position due to federal requirements.
  • The role involves becoming a key member of the Cloud Platform group, focusing on building Cloud Infrastructure Services and APIs to manage the full lifecycle of application and database code.
  • Responsibilities include developing, building, and maintaining a platform for large-scale Enterprise Applications with over 10,000 physical hosts.
  • The engineer will review and triage vulnerability findings, debug and test vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot complex production issues such as memory leaks and network problems.
  • Proficiency in using the Linux command prompt for administration and shell scripting is required.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in DevOps, specifically in building and maintaining platforms for large-scale Enterprise Applications with over 10,000 physical hosts.
  • Experience with git for source code management is necessary.
  • Expert-level skills in Ruby, Chef, or Puppet are required.
  • A deep understanding of Centos/RHEL OS, including experience in installing, maintaining, and designing services, is essential.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies such as OpenStack, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
  • Experience in developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases, including Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgresSQL, is needed.
  • Candidates should demonstrate an aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and systems.
  • A proven track record of successfully completing complex projects independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Exceptional debugging, testing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and deal with interruptions within the team is essential.
