Description:
This position is for a Staff Software Security Engineer focused on Cloud Provisioning at ServiceNow, located in Waltham, Massachusetts, with options for remote work.
The role involves supporting US Federal regulated markets and requires passing a background screening, including a credit check, criminal check, and drug test.

The engineer will be a key member of the Cloud Platform group, responsible for building Cloud Infrastructure Services and APIs to manage the full lifecycle of application and database code.
Responsibilities include developing, building, and maintaining a platform for large-scale Enterprise Applications with over 10,000 physical hosts, reviewing and triaging vulnerability findings, debugging and testing vulnerabilities, and troubleshooting production issues.
The role requires adept utilization of the Linux command prompt for administration and shell scripting.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in DevOps, specifically in building and maintaining platforms for large-scale Enterprise Applications with 10,000+ physical hosts.
Experience with using git for source code management is required.
Expert-level skills in Ruby, Chef, or Puppet are necessary.
A deep understanding of Centos/RHEL OS, including experience in installing, maintaining, and designing services, is essential.
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies such as OpenStack, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
Experience in developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgresSQL is required.
Candidates should demonstrate an aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and systems.
A proven track record of successfully working independently and as part of a team to complete complex projects on time is necessary.
Exceptional debugging, testing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required.
The ability to adapt to changing priorities and deal with interruptions within the team is essential.
