Description:
Kong is seeking a seasoned, customer-facing Sales Engineer to help drive new business and onboard new customers.
The role involves evangelizing Kong's technology and establishing revenue potential with existing customers.
Responsibilities include supporting field sales, understanding customer requirements, and building trusted client relationships throughout the sales lifecycle.
The Sales Engineer will support Proof of Concepts (PoCs) during the evaluation process and ensure 100% customer satisfaction across assigned accounts.
The position requires prioritizing customer needs and coordinating with support, product, and engineering teams.
The role also involves creating technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and services engagements, along with any additional tasks required by the manager.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or sales engineering management at a SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise Software company.
A solid understanding of cloud computing trends and open source business models is required.
Strong listening and communication skills are essential for leading discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives.
Enthusiasm for working in a high-profile, fast-paced startup culture is necessary.
