Description:

The Gigster Talent Network is looking for highly skilled and experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) to join their dynamic team.
As a Staff SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems and services.
You will collaborate with engineering teams to design and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure, integrate new technologies, and drive initiatives to improve service quality.
The role involves monitoring and incident management, automation and optimization to reduce SRE toil, collaboration and mentorship, continuous improvement, and staying current with industry trends.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, 8+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years as a Platform Engineer or SRE, and proficiency in programming languages, Linux/Unix systems, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.
Soft skills required include problem-solving, communication, collaboration, leadership, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The position requires working during Pacific time hours and being open to on-call rotation.

Requirements:

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure systems are designed with reliability and scalability in mind.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance infrastructure.
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
Lead incident response efforts and conduct post-incident reviews.
Architect and build automation projects to reduce SRE toil.
Mentor and guide junior SREs and advocate for best practices.
Drive initiatives to improve service reliability, capacity, and performance.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Possess 8+ years of industry experience and 3+ years as a Platform Engineer or SRE.
Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages, Linux/Unix systems, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
