Remote Staff Systems Engineer

Description:

• Develop with golang, python to build Kubernetes controllers, System utilities, infrastructure automations, and tools for cloud native and datacenter environments.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for application build and deployments.
• Manage a large-scale hybrid cloud of bare metal and VMs.
• Collaborate within a team that codes, reviews, and deploys everything as code.
• Create test plans and test automation for declarative infrastructure in various cloud environments.
• Construct orchestration workflows by leveraging ServiceNow platform features.
• Research and implement new open-source and commercial tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Provable proficiency with Go programming.
• Recommended knowledge in Python and Ansible.
• Experience operating bare metals, virtual machines at scale in a production environment using configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, container CI/CD, and secure DevOps.
• Ability to research best practices, maintain high development standards, and document systems architecture.
• Deep understanding of Linux servers, including networking, storage, and software packaging.
• Comfortable designing, writing, and debugging code in a team setting, with experience in writing test specifications and test automation.
• Experience with various open-source tools used in a production computing environment.
• Capability to troubleshoot and work with a wide range of systems technologies.
