Remote Staff Test Engineer

Description:

• The Mozilla Corporation, a non-profit-backed technology company, is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to join the Ecosystem Test Engineering team.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining test strategies for large-scale services and Mozilla products.
• Responsibilities include building tools and systems for quality feedback, running automated tests, guiding other test engineers, and collaborating with various teams.

• The ideal candidate will have experience in software automation engineering, building and testing scalable services, proficiency in Python and JavaScript, and familiarity with automation tools and testing infrastructure.
• Other essential skills include problem-solving, communication, ability to navigate complex codebases, and data-informed decision-making.
• Bonus points for experience in SRE or DevOps, knowledge of Rust programming language, and familiarity with different test methodologies and frameworks.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software automation engineering
• 3+ years of experience in building and testing scalable services
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, pytest, junit, and industry standard automation tools
• Ability to set up testing infrastructure using tools like CircleCI, K6, Docker, Lighthouse, Playwright, Locust, GCP, etc.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to delegate tasks
• Familiarity with managing Git repositories and navigating complex codebases
