Description:
Twilio is seeking a Staff UX Researcher (L4) to lead democratization efforts within the company.
The role involves enabling and empowering Product and UX teams to generate insights that enhance the Twilio user experience.
The Staff Researcher will lead a new democratization program, ensuring that every UX designer and product manager has the necessary training, tools, and support for conducting UX research.
Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring cross-functional team members across various departments such as design, product, marketing, customer success, sales, and engineering.
The goal is to help team members identify, scope, and execute strategic research initiatives to connect every Twilion with customer, user, and buyer evidence.
The position requires designing, developing, and delivering research training to stakeholders with varying levels of research knowledge.
The Staff Researcher will consult with partners to develop lines of inquiry, methods of analysis, and delivery of evidence-based findings.
Building a democratization program will involve creating job aids, seminars, and other tools to ensure stakeholders can access the evidence they need.
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in user research for software products or platforms is required.
Candidates must hold a PhD or Master's degree (or equivalent experience).
Mixed-method experience is essential, with a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
The ability to write clear, concise, and compelling research findings for diverse audiences is necessary.
A strong design-thinking mindset and familiarity with the product development process are required.
Experience working closely with cross-functional UX and product teams is essential, often through workshop facilitation.
A portfolio demonstrating insightful output and business impact is required.
Candidates must possess strong storytelling, presentation, and influence skills across multiple audiences.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement programs across cross-functional teams to drive measurable change is necessary.
