Remote Staff/Principal Cloud Engineer

Description:

• The Staff/Principal Cloud Engineer at OREDATA will be responsible for managing efficient elastic environments and infrastructure implementations using cloud and/or on-premise environments like GCP, Azure, Amazon Web Services, Cloudera, Kafka, ElasticSearch, etc.
• They will lead cloud migration, landing zone, infrastructure automation, and optimization for current customer projects.
• Working with automation tools such as terraform, ansible, puppet, and cloud fabric framework is a key part of the role.
• Ensuring engineering and security best practices and methodologies are applied is crucial.
• Collaboration with various stakeholders like data engineers, business intelligence teams, software engineers, and solution architects to understand business requirements and deliver customer-centric solutions is essential.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is required.
• 8 to 15 years of experience in a Senior Cloud/Systems/Infrastructure engineering role, preferably as a Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer.
• Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing experience.
• Broad knowledge of Infrastructure, including IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PAAS (Platform as a Service).
• Proficiency in agile processes, ability to handle ambiguity, and data-oriented decision-making.
• Up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Attention to detail, solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
