Remote Staff/Principal Software Architect

Description:

• Reveal is a dynamic startup revolutionizing field operations by providing software tools and insights to individuals in remote, disconnected, and extreme environments.
• The company offers products such as Farsight, a 3D processing and mission planning tool, and Identifi, which enables secure and rapid identity verification.
• The role is for a highly skilled and visionary tenured Software Architect to lead the technical direction of the Identifi product, a cutting-edge multimodal biometric system designed for disconnected and austere environments.
• Responsibilities include leading and contributing to the implementation of software solutions for the Identifi product, developing and maintaining the overall software architecture, and ensuring scalability, security, and high performance across all product components.
• The architect will write and oversee code quality, test automation, development standards, and best practices, ensuring robust, clean, and maintainable codebases.
• Collaboration with product management, software developers, QA, and customer success teams is essential to translate user needs into actionable technical requirements and product features.
• The role also involves supporting and mentoring team engineers, driving the technical vision for Identifi, and designing for future growth to support expanding user needs and market demands.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• A demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, drive technical strategy, and manage complex projects from concept to deployment is required.
• A strong track record in mobile (Android) and backend development, with prior experience in an architect or lead role, is essential.
• Expertise in the Kotlin/JVM ecosystem is necessary.
• Candidates should have Android NDK experience and strong knowledge of Android development, API design, UI architecture, and UX fundamentals.
