Description:

  • MentorMate is seeking a Statistical SAS Programmer to join their team remotely in Bulgaria.
  • The role involves understanding and executing software engineering processes for designing, developing, documenting, reviewing, testing, analyzing, and releasing codes.
  • Responsibilities include writing high-quality, testable code using modern abstractions and frameworks, managing complex tasks with problem-solving skills, and collaborating with various team members such as product managers, UI/UX designers, developers, system analysts, and marketing managers.
  • The programmer will also collaborate with technical authors to build specifications, identify necessary modifications to existing systems, and resolve integration and incompatibility issues in existing applications.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of experience working as a SAS developer.
  • Experience with SAS DI Studio, SAS Base, and SAS EG is a significant advantage.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in software engineering with SDLC tools and languages like Oracle is necessary.
  • At least 2+ years of experience working with Red Hat Linux or UNIX is required.
  • Proven experience working with Teradata is essential.
  • Candidates should be well-versed with SAS Base and SAS macros in a Linux/UNIX environment.
  • Thorough experience working with relational databases is required.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of GitHub, SVN (Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control), or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server) is necessary.
  • Familiarity with analytics experience is a bonus.
  • Experience in application production and support is required.
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills are mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
