Description:

IntheLoop is seeking an AI Engineer Intern for a remote internship in Summer 2025.
The main project involves end-to-end ownership of designing, fine-tuning, and deploying a generative AI agent that integrates with existing software used by thrift store clients.
The intern will contribute directly to the core codebase, shaping product features, debugging critical issues, and shipping tools that support circular systems and real-world users.
Responsibilities include designing, prototyping, and deploying an AI agent to enhance the core platform’s capabilities.
The intern will debug, optimize, and document production code across the full-stack system.
The role involves working in short, iterative cycles and contributing to weekly sprint planning.
The intern is expected to bring technical creativity to experimental ideas, rapid prototyping, and internal R&D.

Requirements:

Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar is required.
Candidates should be comfortable with version control (Git), APIs, and shipping real-world software.
A history of building side projects, GitHub experiments, or contributing to open source is necessary.
Experience with ML/AI tools and libraries, such as Hugging Face, LangChain, or OpenAI, is required.
A strong interest in sustainability, social impact, or building tools that help people is essential.
