Remote Summer 2025 Software Engineer Intern

Description:

• IntheLoop is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for a remote position in Summer 2025.
• The intern will have end-to-end ownership over the design, fine-tuning, and deployment of a generative AI agent that integrates with the existing software suite used by thrift store clients.
• The role involves contributing directly to the core codebase, shaping product features, debugging critical issues, and shipping tools that support circular systems and real-world users.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong background in side projects, a desire to build, a willingness to learn, and a passion for solving high-impact problems that benefit people and the planet.
• Responsibilities include designing, prototyping, and deploying an AI agent, debugging and optimizing production code, participating in weekly sprint planning, and contributing to internal R&D.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar is required.
• Comfort with version control systems (Git), APIs, and shipping real-world software is necessary.
• Candidates should have built their own side projects, GitHub experiments, or contributed to open source.
• Familiarity with ML/AI tools or libraries, such as Hugging Face, LangChain, or OpenAI, is preferred.
• A strong interest in sustainability, social impact, or building tools that help people is essential.
