Description:

Apogee is an IT-services organization focused on higher education, providing IT infrastructure for technology-savvy students.
The company seeks a skilled and dedicated System Administrator to manage and maintain IT infrastructure, particularly in higher education environments.
This is a remote, work-from-home position with a salary range of $79,000-$105,000 depending on experience.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting Active Directory environments, managing virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware, developing scripts using PowerShell or Python, administering Windows and Linux servers, managing databases, and supporting Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra environments.
Additional responsibilities include administering Docker containers, providing IT support for higher education institutions, utilizing ConnectWise Automate for system monitoring, and managing cloud infrastructure in providers such as AWS, Azure, and OCI.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Hyper-V, and VMware is required.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python is necessary.
Experience with Windows and Linux server administration is essential.
Familiarity with database administration is required.
Candidates should have experience managing Microsoft 365 environments and Microsoft Entra.
Beneficial experience includes working with Docker containers, higher education environments, ConnectWise Automate, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OCI).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
