Description:

• Zyte is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the team responsible for operating and scaling the infrastructure and software supporting crawls of over 8 billion pages monthly.
• The role involves collaborating with a team of engineers to maintain and enhance the Platform infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation 24/7.
• The Systems Administrator will work with various technologies including Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, HAProxy, Nginx, Consul, Percona XtraDB cluster, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, Hadoop/HBase, ProxySQL, and more.
• The position requires managing rented bare metal servers on-premises, with automation and tooling being essential for clusters exceeding 150 worker nodes.
• Open Source tools are heavily utilized within the infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator engineer, handling hundreds of systems and deploying highly available solutions.
• Proficiency in Apache Mesos/Marathon, HAProxy, Nginx, Percona XtraDB/MySQL clusters, Saltstack.
• Familiarity with Python and Bash/Shell scripting, with a bonus for Golang/Java knowledge.
• Experience in running microservice applications on containers.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, work independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively in English.
• Flexibility in working hours, confidentiality maintenance, and willingness to learn new technologies.
