Remote System Engineer with Mongo DB

Description:

• We are looking for a flexible and efficient Quality Engineer to join our MongoDB team.
• In this role, you will support our engineering team by maintaining and improving the quality of our software products as part of the release process and in an ongoing fashion.
• This includes tasks such as analyzing and reporting defects captured by our automated testing frameworks.
• You will also define and implement new test cases, as well as improve and scale our testing capabilities and infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have solid debugging skills and experience, including analyzing log files, missing binaries, and spotting patterns.
• A good knowledge of test methods in agile software development environments is required.
• Solid Linux sysadmin skills are necessary, including adding/removing software, enabling/disabling services, and using general Unix/Linux CLI tools.
• Experience with networking, hardware, file systems, and server connectivity is essential.
• Previous exposure and experience in database-related technologies is required, including performing backups and verifying them, as well as conducting Point in Time Recovery (PITR).
• Experience with compiling, building, packaging, release engineering, and package managers like yum and apt is necessary.
