Description:
Neovera is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Systems/Cloud Engineer to join their team.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Windows infrastructure, and Microsoft 365.
The engineer will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Essential duties include managing Microsoft Azure and Windows infrastructure environments, supporting Microsoft 365 applications, deploying file auditing solutions, troubleshooting servers, configuring Active Directory, and overseeing best practices for system availability and security.
The engineer will lead migrations from private infrastructure to cloud platforms, collaborate with network and security teams, and proactively address infrastructure challenges.
Staying updated on advancements in Azure, Microsoft 365, and Windows technologies is crucial, as is developing scripts to automate routine processes and communicating technical concepts clearly to various audiences.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Windows infrastructure environments.
Proven expertise in Azure core services, including VMs, networking, storage, security, and automation tools is necessary.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including email, collaboration, and productivity tools is required.
Experience with file auditing and compliance solutions, such as Varonis or Netwrix, is essential.
In-depth experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server administration is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-driven approach are necessary.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, are essential.
Azure certifications and familiarity with the Azure PaaS service stack are considered a plus.
Experience working in or supporting Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) and scripting/automation experience (e.g., PowerShell) are desirable.
Candidates should have a strong ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
