Description:
The Systems Architect is responsible for all aspects of Windows server infrastructure, focusing on the architecture of Windows infrastructure and connected technologies.
This role involves managing certificates, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and various other on-premises and cloud applications.
The position emphasizes the overall design and architecture of IT systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies.
The role provides a high-level vision and roadmap for technology implementation.
Responsibilities include designing, building, managing, and maintaining Windows-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
The architect will handle the architecture and administration of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and other connected technologies.
Duties include implementing upgrades, managing migrations, performing optimizations, troubleshooting, and administering proactive monitoring solutions and server management platforms.
The role requires VMWARE, Okta, and Rubrik administration.
Collaboration with the Information Security team is essential to quickly remediate any security concerns.
The architect will provide Level 3 support to the Service Desk team and execute project tasks related to systems and applications.
Responsibilities also include writing and utilizing scripts, templates, interfaces, and utility applications to enhance functionality.
The role involves designing, building, and implementing automation to improve efficiency in collaboration with cross-departmental IT teams.
Support for integration of platforms via SSO and creation of robust technical documentation, including architectural and data-flow diagrams, is required.
Participation in on-call coverage as needed and support for key initiatives as defined by management are also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience supporting Windows-based technologies in a 24x7 environment, utilizing an agile approach and performing systems lifecycle management through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Intune.
A minimum of 7+ years supporting Active Directory is required.
Candidates should have at least 5+ years of experience supporting backup systems.
Experience providing IT support for 5+ years is a plus.
Desired skills include expertise in Windows infrastructure, VMware, advanced Active Directory, AWS (including IAM and administration of servers/containers), DNS, PKI, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 Administration (including advanced Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and EntraID administration).
Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Leadership skills in providing solutions and recommendations are also required.

The base salary range for this position is $125K to $135K per year, with the offered salary determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and geographic market data.
