Veeva Systems is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Architect to join their dynamic team.
The role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems used by product engineering teams.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive architecture plans for cloud-based applications, partnering with stakeholders to understand application usage and strategic goals, and recommending hardware, software, and methodologies.
The Systems Architect will oversee the implementation and integration of key business systems and analyze performance to ensure applications meet scalability and reliability needs.
The role requires performing root cause analysis for complex failures, establishing metrics to monitor system performance, and identifying performance bottlenecks.
The candidate will implement best practices for cloud-based infrastructure and stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
Responsibilities also include creating detailed documentation of systems architecture designs and communicating effectively with engineering and infrastructure teams.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar degree, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of working experience as a Systems Architect.
A strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and data storage is essential.
Proven ability to architect scalable solutions across enterprise applications is required.
Experience with AWS and container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, is necessary.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and version control systems (e.g., Git) is expected.
Candidates should be independent learners with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
Experience with disaster recovery planning, performance tuning of databases, and incident management is required.
Strong attention to detail, goal orientation, and commitment to excellent customer service are essential.
Effective communication skills across all levels are necessary.
