Description:

  • The Systems Integrations Software Engineer role at Canonical involves working within the Commercial Systems unit to integrate various business systems used at Canonical.
  • The engineer will be responsible for ensuring data flows reliably between systems, automating business processes, and leveraging Python and Go along with open source tools like Airbyte and Temporal.
  • The role includes collaborating with engineering and business teams, designing and delivering engineering solutions, and operating services developed by the team.
  • The engineer will work remotely in the EMEA region and may need to travel internationally 2-4 times a year.
  • Additional responsibilities include seeking improvements in engineering and operations practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a software developer in Python.
  • Excellent understanding of integration patterns.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely with diverse team members and stakeholders, remaining motivated, productive, and organized in a fully remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for short periods, approximately 2-4 times a year.
