Description:
Equip is a leading virtual, evidence-based eating disorder treatment program focused on ensuring access to effective treatment for everyone with an eating disorder.

As a Team Lead, you will create and lead a new engineering team, focusing on culture, product development, and team empowerment.
The role combines technical leadership with management responsibilities, suitable for those with a hands-on engineering background.
You will empower each engineer on the team to achieve their best work and customize the role by contributing a blend of technical, people, and product experience.
You will help set the culture for engineering and Equip as a whole, working with leadership to build a diverse and inclusive organization.
Responsibilities include designing and planning application engineering projects, providing hands-on technical guidance, maintaining subject matter expertise, championing engineering best practices, monitoring quality metrics, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work, and partnering with technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
You must have 2-5+ years of engineering leadership experience and 8+ years of overall developer experience.
Experience in growing and managing teams of engineers is required.
Familiarity with the technology stack including Java, JavaScript, React, PostGreSQL (or other relational databases), AWS services, Git, and Github is highly preferred.
A strong engineering background in building business-specific systems for scaling companies is necessary.
Good product sense and experience working closely with customers are essential.
You must have experience building large-scale applications with well-defined architectures.
Ability to work in Eastern or Central time zones is required, with specific hours of either 9 - 5 Eastern or 8 - 4 Central.
Experience in product development and a mix of startup and big company experience are pluses.
Previous experience with healthcare data or in healthtech is also a plus.
