Description:

Caseware is a leading Fintech company in Canada, with over 500,000 users across 130 countries and available in 16 languages.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will design, develop, test, and deploy microservices to support data analysis in the Cloud.
You will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver complex solutions for analyzing large data sets.
In the first 6 months, you will lead development tasks through all SDLC phases, conduct research for MVPs, collaborate with other teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the existing architecture.
In the first year, you will take technical ownership of modules, provide day-to-day technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and represent the team in technical discussions.

Requirements:

You must have experience working on an agile team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in creating distributed, data-intensive, and highly scalable applications using Java 8/11, SpringBoot, and AWS is required.
Exposure to JavaScript frameworks is preferred.
Experience with Rest API/Microservices and concepts like domain-driven design and event-driven design is necessary.
Proven experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Lambda, RDS, S3, and EMR is required.
You should have experience in real-time and batch data transformation processes using technologies like EMR, Hadoop, Spark SQL, Java, and Hive.
Strong experience with Spark Core and production-ready Spark applications using DataFrames, Datasets, Spark SQL, and Spark Streaming is needed.
Experience in ETL projects and strong SQL knowledge for analyzing and writing complex SQLs is required.
You must have experience with unit testing and writing automated tests in a trunk-based lifecycle.
Experience mentoring developers on design and coding best practices is essential.
Strong English language communication skills (B2 minimum) are required.
