Description:
As Platform Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading the backend development team.
You will design and implement scalable and robust backend systems.
You will ensure the seamless integration of AWS services.
This role involves working on a complex SaaS product for professionals in the construction design space.
This is a senior role that reports to the VP of Engineering.
Candidates for this role must reside in Canada and have eligibility to work without sponsorship.
Requirements:
You must have extensive experience in backend development, focusing on AWS services.
Proven experience in designing and implementing APIs and microservices architecture is required.
You should have extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
A solid understanding of authorization and authentication mechanisms and best practices is necessary.
Experience with multi-tenancy architecture and design is required.
You must have a solid understanding of database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is essential.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Familiarity with serverless architecture and event-driven systems is preferred.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Nice to haves include AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer, proficiency in Golang, experience with protobuf/gRPC or similar technologies, experience with AWS Cognito, Dynamo, EKS, experience implementing enterprise SaaS systems, and experience with service mesh architectures.
