Description:

  • As Platform Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading the backend development team.
  • You will design and implement scalable and robust backend systems.
  • You will ensure the seamless integration of AWS services.
  • This role involves working on a complex SaaS product for professionals in the construction design space.
  • This is a senior role that reports to the VP of Engineering.
  • Candidates for this role must reside in Canada and have eligibility to work without sponsorship.

Requirements:

  • You must have extensive experience in backend development, focusing on AWS services.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing APIs and microservices architecture is required.
  • You should have extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • A solid understanding of authorization and authentication mechanisms and best practices is necessary.
  • Experience with multi-tenancy architecture and design is required.
  • You must have a solid understanding of database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture and event-driven systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
  • Nice to haves include AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer, proficiency in Golang, experience with protobuf/gRPC or similar technologies, experience with AWS Cognito, Dynamo, EKS, experience implementing enterprise SaaS systems, and experience with service mesh architectures.
