The Core team is responsible for driving key company goals, such as adding relevant insurance products and delivering documents to customers.
As a Tech Lead, you will guide the Engineering Team's technical direction, focusing on security and scalability.
You will collaborate with the Product Manager, Team Lead, Engineering, and Staff Developers to implement systems and processes.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable applications using Node, React, and Typescript, and managing third-party system integrations.
You will mentor team members, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to security strategies.
The role is remote-first within Canada.

Requirements:

A university degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational, or academic program, or equivalent work experience is required.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in building complex and scalable APIs, including third-party integrations.
At least 5 years of experience in building front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing scalable and distributed systems is necessary.
Experience in mentoring other developers is required.
Extensive full-stack experience with React, Redux, Node, Typescript, MongoDB, and JavaScript is essential.
Familiarity with the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies is required.
Experience with DORA metrics and communicating performance measurements is preferred.
Experience in architecting large software systems and working with JavaScript development tools is necessary.
Experience with unit testing frameworks and building micro-services is required.
