Description:
The Tech Lead for Data Engineering will be responsible for designing and developing solution architectures for cloud applications and systems.
The role includes improving cost and performance, optimizing data processing, storage, and networking costs, and creating agile and scalable solutions.
The position involves exploring data engineering and software engineering solutions and building a technical roadmap for the evolution of existing applications.
The Tech Lead will provide technical guidance to the development team, offer technical feedback, and create development plans for the team.
Daily tasks include designing, developing, and documenting new or existing solutions and architectures.
The Tech Lead will assist data engineers in designing and developing data capture solutions and engage technical development and architecture teams.
Collaboration with SRE in a CI/CD framework and facilitating communication between business areas and technical teams is also part of the role.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, or related fields is required.
Advanced English proficiency is necessary to communicate with global teams and advocate for solutions.
Knowledge in web scraping, logging and monitoring tools (Grafana, Cloudwatch, Dynatrace, DataDog), Docker, Kubernetes, AWS services, event-driven microservices architecture, design patterns, DDD, REST APIs, and both relational (MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational (DocumentDB) databases is essential.
Desired programming languages include Python and Node.
Experience in digital transformation of legacy systems, Big Data, Data Mesh, SaaS, PaaS, PiaaS, and data capture and ingestion pipelines is required.
Proficiency in AWS services (SQS, S3, ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS) is necessary.
Experience with DevSecOps tools for CI/CD, Terraform, and Jenkins is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and business teams, teamwork, and executive presentations are essential.
Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum is required.
Experience with code analysis and vulnerability tools like Veracode and SonarQube is desirable.
