Description:
The Data Layer team is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing the data systems of the Core application.
The role involves building robust and scalable solutions in a data-intensive application, focusing on high performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities include developing features related to data storage, monitoring and improving read and write performance, and collaborating with other teams to support application development and its evolving data requirements.
As Tech Lead, you will guide the team in designing, implementing, and documenting complex features.
You will play a key role in defining the architectural direction and ensuring its successful execution.
Technologies used by the team include Java, Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MariaDB), Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Spring Boot, Spring, Maven, Docker, and Helm.
The Data Layer team processes, structures, and optimizes process automation event streams for efficient querying by applications and services.
The work of the team directly impacts application stability, business decision-making, and the company's success.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience as a Java Backend Engineer.
Excellent knowledge and experience using Java and at least one of the following databases: Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MariaDB) or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch is required.
Practical experience working with Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, and Docker is necessary.
You should have the ambition and drive to understand and evolve an established codebase and data model that solves complex business problems.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form are essential.
A passion for coaching other engineers and improving team practices is important.
You should thrive in taking ownership of the codebase and be comfortable with the βyou build it, you run itβ mindset.
Ability and/or willingness to use the company's product is required.
Nice-to-haves include experience with both Elasticsearch and RDBMS, and knowledge of GitHub workflows and actions.

The annual Total Target Cash Compensation range for this position varies by location, including:
United States: $131,200.00 to $196,800.00
Germany: β¬87,300.00 to β¬130,900.00
United Kingdom: Β£85,000.00 to Β£127,500.00
Singapore: S$162,900.00 to S$244,400.00
Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role.
The Total Rewards package may also include equity in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence.
