Description:
Lead the end-to-end development of scalable and high-performance full-stack applications
Architect and design comprehensive and robust full-stack solutions aligned with business objectives
Develop and maintain server-side applications and APIs for live games
Assist internal game teams in scaling up game development by creating new tools
Design and optimize database schemas for data consistency, integrity, and security
Identify and address bottlenecks in front-end and back-end components to optimize application performance
Implement security best practices for data protection and user authentication
Conduct code reviews, mentor other engineers, and ensure high code quality
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and technical specifications
Stay updated with the latest web development trends and share knowledge with the team
Participate in agile development processes and contribute to team goals
Requirements:
7+ years of experience as a back-end or full-stack engineer focusing on scalable systems
Previous experience working on online games serving a large user base
Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
Experience with game back-end-as-a-service platforms such as Nakama, Firebase, or Playfab
Agile development environment experience
Ability to lead, mentor, work independently, and take ownership of projects
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have: Experience with Unity or other game engines, relational/NoSQL databases, containerization tools, and a degree in Computer Science or related field
